Overflow

Arrived in HK yesterday and now, I'm doin my first official entry on hong the kong!
so where to start; far too much impressions to tell, bla

First I arrived yesterday on the HK Airport which has the largest hall in the world (and...yeah, it's truely LARGE!!)
when i went to kowloon by the airport express, i could see the gorgeous skyline which is far more amazing than i expected.
when i then took a taxi, i ha dto smile cause the chinese have their own personnel for showing the people, which taxi is curently free (and several similar jobs...)

At Chunking Mansion, a huge...HUGE complex with many little stores on the ground floor ans plenty low budget-guest houses, i got a prety small room for 100 HK$ per night (which is really cheap..about 10 HK$ are about 1 Euro)
It isn't Hilton but it's not as awful as i read before on the net and at last, it's better than a youth hostel, because i got my own room with TV.

I spent the rest of the evening by walking through kowloon without any goal, just buying something to drink, checking out several little stores and roaming through the avenue of stars;
it's like Hollywood Boulevard, where famous Stars from Hong Kong Cinema like Jackie Chan or Sammo Hung placed their Handprints, here you can also find a bronze statue of Bruce Lee.

Today i woke up at 8:00am and started for Wan Chai an 9:00am and the first thing i noticed: in HK$ you better stay awake the whole night and sleep long, because the most stores don't open until 10:00am or later.

so i went to wan chai by the star ferry (wan chai is a district of HK and is located on HK Island, so you'll have to take this ferry) or to be honest, i had no idea where i wanted to go when i sat down in the ferry, i just awaited where it went.

On HK Island, walking between those huge skyscrapers gave me heebie-jeebies; in vienna we only got one (yes, one) real skyscraper and here they got a 100% pure skyline.

So I went to Wan chai, a place with several markets, where I took some pictures and then relaxed a while at some kind of soccer court, watching some kids playing soccer, which was pretty sweet because the Goalie showed me, that there actually exist a living human, playing soccer worse than me, it needed him 3 tries, till he even hit the ball, which was really fun to watch, then I came to this place where I have fully access to the web for free (thanks kanyo ;) )

Generally, if there are two things that are buggin me then it's the bad air (I think it wouldn't matter if i started to smoke ;) ) and the consequential smell of good food EVERYWHERE so i suffer hunger all the time :(

Now I'll continue my Tour through HK Island and hopefully I can buy a better Camera here so you get even better shots and views from HK (those pics are all taken with my handycam)
